Charl Van Zyl
Charl started playing music at social functions and events in Johannesburg around 1998.
After moving to Cape Town in 2006 he started to play corporate events for the Three Cities Group, The Green Catering Group, and word of mouth led to many more bookings and clients in the corporate events market.
Having worked as a performer in the Corporate market for many years, Charl has a good idea of how to get the party started.
The best thing about being a DJ is making people happy.
There is nothing like seeing people get up from a table to dance, or the expression on their face when they hear a song they love.
I enjoy playing classic songs that people love, and also exposing people to new music they have never heard, broadening their musical horizons.
In his busy 20 years behind the decks, Brendan has not only learned how to read a crowd like a book but has developed a very clear understanding of how different types of music create strong perceptions of a club, brand or event and goes to great lengths to ensure the style and tempo of music he plays will create the desired public perception of the organisation he is performing for.
Brendan is a very versatile DJ, he has the ability to swing from genre to genre and era to era effortlessly.
His uncanny ability to read a crowd certainly gives him a distinct edge.
This is a product born out of playing music for 20 years in an array of environments; from Nightclubs to Groove Bars, Lounges to Corporate Events and Weddings.
